Abstract | Chapter 1 is essentially about why to do personal projects analysis (PPA); this chapter is more about how to do it. It is not, however, meant to be a comprehensive, step-by-step manual on PPA, but a systematic introduction to its components and the rationale for their creation. To accomplish this, we therefore give an occasional “word to the ‘whys?’” to justify choices made in developing the methodology. Because PPA has been adopted and adapted by others for exploring units of analysis such as personal goals and personal action constructs, we intend this chapter to reflect and provide guidance to their concerns as well. |
