Home: Reframing Craft and domesticity

The exhibition explored the resurgence of craft in contemporary art practice and our relationship to our most intimate and treasured environment - our home. It included ceramics, jewellery, furniture, video, wallpaper, sculpture, soft furnishings, and a uniquely decorated home-baked cake.

'Home - Reframing Craft and Domesticity' at Hatch Contemporary Arts Space in April/May last year, has subsequently won an award at the Museums & Galleries National Awards.

The exhibition was a winner in the temporary or travelling exhibition category, with judges declaring it: 'Excellent project concept and development with admirable and inventive connection with the community. A considerable amount achieved and professionally delivered on a modest budget.'
