Abstract | The 21st century brings a plethora of challenges for the profession of nursing and health care environments as each tertiary provider across Australia endeavours to provide the best opportunities for students to meet industry demands. One such challenge is the need to acknowledge that it is essential to move beyond the walls surrounding academia and health care organisations to provide innovative and creative education delivery models for student nurses. Furthermore, there is a need to develop strategies that address recruitment and the attrition of nurses out of profession. One such strategy is the creation of collaborative and sustainable partnerships between academic settings and health care organisations as a means of moving forward. |
