Abstract

This book explores a former program of distance education provided by the Brisbane School of Distance Education to the children of the Showmen's Guild of Australasia as they travelled with their families along the agricultural show circuits. The book reported interview data collected with the show children and their parents, and with the administrators and teachers from the Brisbane School of Distance Education. The program represented a largely effective and innovative program of alternative and inclusive education for the show children.
