Abstract

In 2022 the pilot Audio Ability Accessible Mentoring and Training Project (Audio Ability 1) tried a combination of mentoring and blended learning to train the first cohort of new community media makers. Audio Ability 1 emanated from the CMTO’s goal to assist increased media representation of marginalised communities. The CMTOs commitment to
equity is both an integral policy to their workplace (CMTO, 2023), their organisational goals and that of the wider community broadcasting sector (CBAA, 2023).
