Abstract | The association between perceptions of learning context and approaches to learning is repeatedly emphasised within research literature. Here, the concept of virtual learning communities is analysed from the learner's perspective. Learners identify pressures and recognise personal and professional applications for knowledge collaboratively constructed within the context of an online course. |
