Abstract

The entries in this volume have been written by seven main contributors, including the editor, Michael Dillon. The sinological interests of the contributors range in time from antiquity to the People’s Republic of China and in subject matter from art, archaeology, philosophy, political thought and literature to sociology, politics and ethnicity in addition to conventional narrative history. The contributors are scholars who regularly work from Chinese language sources.
