| Abstract | The author compares the lady of punk, Vivienne Westwood, fashion and crime fiction. It's tempting to draw up a simple schema around this: fashion is to the crime thriller as clothing is to literary fiction. Yet part of the intrigue in Westwood's approach to design is that, like a good plot, it invites but then confounds a one-dimensional schematic reading. |
