Biography
Dr Snez Stolic has more than 24 years of clinical experience working in cardiac surgical intensive care, general intensive care units, coronary care, cardiac catheter theatre and cardiac wards. She has worked at Prince Charles Hospital, Mater Public and Private Hospital, St Andrews Hospital in Brisbane, Wesley Hospital and Townsville General Hospital. For the past 16 years, she has been working in academia, including University of Southern Queensland, Griffith University, QUT, Southern Cross University and Charles Sturt University in NSW. Having taught courses across the three-year undergraduate Bachelor of Nursing degree. She has 16 years of experience teaching medication management and clinical laboratory courses. She is the Higher Degree Research Coordinator for the SONM at UniSQ.
In 2004, she completed a Master in Applied Science in Research evaluating the Acute Pain Service program using quasiexperimental design at Prince Charles Hospital for people following cardiac surgical patients. In 2016, she completed a Doctor of Philosophy titled “A randomised control trial of a symptom management education package for people with the acute coronary syndrome”.
She is on the organising committee for ACRA conference, research committee and the Queensland chapter. She is on the Cardiovascular Expert Group Panel for the Joanna Briggs Institute and on the Centaur Memorial Fund for Nurses Executive Committee and is a fellow. She is a member of Council of Cardiovascular Nursing and Allied Professionals, European Society of Cardiology. She has several published articles, contributions to nursing textbooks and presented at many domestic and international conferences. She has peer reviewed for several international and domestic journals.
