Biography
Dr. Dimuthu Herath Mudiyanselage is a Lecturer at the University of Southern Queensland, recognized for his expertise in computational modelling and advanced theoretical investigations of nanomaterials. His research encompasses a wide range of materials, including ferroelectric, thermoelectric, electrocatalyst, and photocatalyst materials, with a particular focus on applications in wearable energy generation devices, antibacterial surfaces, and neuromorphic computing and energy. Mudiyanselage’s proficiency spans from nanoscale density functional theory (DFT) calculations to large-scale simulations such as finite element analysis (FEA) and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations, which are critical tools in understanding and developing advanced materials and interfaces.
His contributions to the field have been recognized through numerous awards and scholarships, including the Korean Government Scholarship, the QUT HDR Scholarship, and the High Achiever Award from QUT.
