Biography
I am an applied wildlife ecologist with combined experience in research and primary approvals, working at the interface between ecological science and regulatory frameworks to deliver practical, evidence-based conservation outcomes. I have worked on wildlife research and management projects in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, and the Northern Territory.
My PhD focused on understanding how Australia's only trawling bat uses modified landscapes and artificial roosts like concrete culverts under roads, to identify how urban green and blue spaces can support biodiversity.
I have experience with wildlife trapping, tracking and movement ecology, ecoacoustics and conservation genetics. I have used combinations of field-based and molecular methods to research the ecology and conservation of multiple taxa. My work bridges science and management, contributing to evidence-based decisions for threatened species, habitat restoration, and biodiversity conservation.
