Abstract

Joomla! 1.6 is the latest release of the Joomla! content management system and framework. In this talk we'll cover the new security model introduced in Joomla! 1.6 and explain it's history in both Joomla!'s unique security design. Joomla! is comprised of a discretionary ACL that permits fine grained control which is paired with a simplified system of handling access control for viewing content.
