Abstract

In association with EDA, RMIT are the first in Australia to launch professional courses and accreditation for the Economic Development Practitioner. Practitioners learn best practice from other practitioners and case studies. This learning builds the 'art' of professional economic development. However, there is also a 'science' to economic development, and a body of theory that helps to build the evidence base for good practice.
