Abstract

This paper presents a case study of recent knowledge management capability developments at the Cerebral Palsy League (CPL). The CPL Strategic Plan 2009/2010 determined that the CPL Library Service and Knowledge Development would apply best practice knowledge management (KM), and the
resulting actions are presented in two sections. Firstly, to provide a frame for structured conceptualisation and discussion of KM capability development, a literature review supports the construction of the CIS-US KM architecture. Secondly, the paper presents a discussion on KM implementation progress, including an outline of the CPL business, and progress made on the resulting KM strategies CPL Library developed.
Overall, this case study applies the CIS-US KM architecture to frame the implementation of web 2.0 technologies for CPL information literacy and strategic advantage. This systemic case study perspective thus adds to contemporary KM capability development discussion and literature.
