Abstract | The article focuses on the legislation of handling blasphemous libel in Canada. It provides an in-depth look at the blasphemy prosecution of Eugene Sterry, which is essential to determine the reaction of the press and the public to the trial. An overview is given on the two public movements that were against the perceived social evil of blasphemy in Quebec. |
