Abstract | Complex dynamics of microparticles and gaseous bubbles in an acoustic field caused by the period-averaged radiation force is considered. Recent results concerning the effects of particles’ concentration and mixing in plane and cylindrical resonators are discussed; the theory is compared with available experimental data. Modern biomedical and other applications are briefly outlined. |
