Description of Performance

Alt-AR, Alt-AR is a 50-minute experimental hybrid interactive media and immersive theatre performance. The attendees' experiences, whether in a room, VR, or at home on a computer, are all interwoven. When they become aware of each other, attendees collaborate to help each other through the story. This project involved a collaboration between Folly Games and Academics in the Experimental Games Lab, based in Brisbane, Australia. An Arts Queensland Digital Adaptation grant of $7,367 supported the partnership and resulted in a new mixed reality performance premiered during the 2021 Anywhere Festival.
