Abstract | Aims: Urinary tract infections (UTI) and asymptomatic Methods: Participants ≥65 years were included in a single Results: A total of 150 participants were recruited. Mean Conclusion: It is difficult to tease out asymptomatic bacteriuria in an acute inpatient hospital setting with syndromic presentations. Antibiotics are still used in treating these atypical presentations. Even though the antibiotic resistance and length of stay were similar between the groups it is important to apply antibiotic stewardship. |
