| Event Details | Smith Family Exhibition and Performance Outcome (2023) Delivery In person Event Date 30 Oct 2023 to end of 02 Nov 2023 Event Location University of Southern Queensland Event Venue UniSQ Concert Hall Event Description The Smith Family Performance and Exhibition (2023) consisted of a theatre performance outcome as a result of a series of workshops and an Art Exhibition co-curated by the young people who participated in it. This project is located at the intersection of theatre, social practice and curatorial studies, exploring how dialogic, site-responsive workshops within the visual arts and theatre resulting in an exhibition and performance outcome can serve as both creative outcomes and a pathway to university. |
| Description of Performance | The Performance and exhibition outcome were the result of a series of workshops that focussed on co-authorship, fostering agency, belonging, and collaborative meaning-making while generating meaningful pathways to university for young people from low socioeconomic, regional backgrounds. |
