Biography

Hamid Shobeiri Nejad is a Lecturer in Statistics with the school of Mathematics, Physics and Computing at the University of Southern Queensland. He has been teaching mathematics and statistics for the past 18 years.

Hamid received his bachelor’s degree with honours in Mechanical Engineering and was working as an engineer for 10 years. He continued his Master’s in Industrial Management and completed his PhD in Applied Mathematics and Statistics at Griffith University.

Hamid has a great amount of experience teaching statistics, experimental design, engineering mathematics, applied mathematics, and engineering design and drafting.

He has helped many students with their post-graduate research statistical analyses in various fields, such as environment, transport, and biomedical science. Currently, he is also a statistical consultant for the Statistical Consulting Unit at UniSQ.

Hamid’s research interests include mathematical and statistical modelling in any field of industry, risk assessment for uncertain events, decision-making, and statistical analysis.
