Introductory chapter to the book 'Lithics Down Under' which outlines the purpose of the monograph, being to take a new look at various aspects of stone artifact analysis that reveal important and exciting new information about the past. This involves reorienting the methodological approach to stone artifacts as well as the questions asked of them.
