Abstract

The paper describes Queensland Transport's five year journey through successfully developing a project management improvement project and a methodology for improving its project management within an asset management context, delivering this and then developing this further into program and portfolio management. It covers the relationship between business management, program management, asset management and project management and their underlying governance arrangements, as well as the relationship between its OnQ project management framework and program and portfolio management.
