Abstract | Abstract: The purpose of this article is to retrieve three individual Heideggerian interpretations on Jung’s transcendent function, complexes and the Rosarium Philosophorum presented in (Gildersleeve, 2015a, Gildersleeve, 2015b and Gildersleeve, 2016) to project a new meaning of the phenomenology and ontology of Jung’s transcendent function. This article explains complexes and the Rosarium Philosophorum in connection to the ontology of Jung’s transcendent function from (Gildersleeve, 2015a) as well as demonstrating the strong connection between the ideas of Nietzsche and Jung. This article can hermeneutically retrieve Jung’s transcendent function because when complexes and the Rosarium Philosophorum are explained ontologically they unconceal new possibilities that were not available in Jung’s work or in (Gildersleeve, 2015a). By retrieving Jung’s transcendent function in this way, this article further demonstrates the compatibility of Heidegger with Jung and psychoanalysis which is important to extend and advance the work of Brooke and the Daseinsanalytic writings of Medard Boss. |
