Abstract

Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) students encounter significant and particular difficulties at various levels of their studies at the University of Southern Queensland. In this seminar, Dr Geoff Parkes will report on recent research and projects designed to assist CALD students. The seminar aims to provide both a snapshot of the current situation and the difficulties faced by staff who want to improve opportunities for CALD students. It also aims to provoke discussion and further ollaboration aimed at a whole-of-University approach to helping CALD students achieve their goals.
