Abstract

Generative artificial intelligence software such as ChatGPT has brought forth challenges to assessing and assuring individual learning artefacts. Complicating matters is how some disciplines and professions are adopting ChatGPT as a ‘must have’ skill because of its ability to improve performance and output artifacts in these disciplines and professions. The combination of both developments has highlighted highlight the normative challenges universities face in providing learning experiences for students.
