Abstract | Introduction: In Australian education, there have been significant changes. In recent times, this has included moving to a nationalised curriculum (Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority [ACARA], 2012), standardised testing, national professional standards (Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership [AITSL], 2013) and consideration of performance pay for teacher excellence (Queensland Government, 2013). Evolving government policy, education reform and new curricula have emerged in attempts to revolutionise education. |
