The Eggs was written and performed by David Steggall during The Clown and Human Tragedy Masterclass facilitated by Eric De Bont, in Alejzur, Portugal, 2019. Performed at the Temple of the Earth, the show was attended by locals and workshop participants. In the solo clown show The Eggs, the carer clown, journeys out in the world to find an egg to care for. When he returns to his room, he nurtures and cares for his egg, however, he finds a way to break it. Each moment of failure is shared with the audience before packing his back and journeying back into the world to find another egg.
