The blurb on the site:
Research is showing that anxiety levels in the community are an issue, particularly in our schools. As researchers we sought to investigate why and focus our search on schools that that researched surfaced as having inclusive school environments. Our paper In Sync: Inclusive School Communities Supporting Students with Anxiety investigated the experiences of educators working in inclusive schools and how they supported students with anxiety and anxiety-related disorders. Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, children and adolescents worldwide have experienced increased disruptions in their everyday lives with 1 in 5 youth now experiencing clinically elevated anxiety symptoms, which is almost double pre-pandemic figures. The field of education can benefit from this research as it surfaces a need for focused professional development for educators and the need for explicit strategies.
