Abstract	The International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) are a set of accounting standards developed by the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) to prepare financial reports. The main objective is to make the company’s financial statements easy to read and understand for various users of financial statements around the world. Chapter 1 outlines the benefits and challenges of adopting IFRS for companies, as well as the costs associated with adoption. © Parmod Chand 2024. All rights reserved.
