Abstract	The term information technology (IT) refers to all processes and devices related to the creation, collection, processing, storage, presentation and dissemination of information. Briefly, it is about information systems, data storage, access, retrieval, analysis and intelligent decision-making. IT plays a notable role in the accounting and financial services industries, particularly financial reporting. Chapter 2 provides an overview of the IT-related changes required in accounting systems while implementing the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). © Parmod Chand 2024.
