Biography

Dr David Long is a registered paramedic and has worked in the health and human services sector for almost 30 years. Beginning in disability services, David transitioned to paramedicine in the late 1990s and undertook two specialisations in Intensive Care and Extended Care. David completed his doctorate in 2017 and examined the transition of qualified paramedics to a specialist role in community paramedicine. He has also recently completed a M. Ed with a particular focus on the application of First Year Experience pedagogy.
