Abstract | Introduction: Established guidelines for medications safety focus on hospital, pharmacy, nursing and operating theatre settings, with little to no mention of paramedic practice. A systematic review published in 2022 established the factors that contribute to medication safety in paramedic practice. This study builds on that work to quantify those factors contributing to medication errors in paramedic practice, both in terms of their contribution to known errors and their prevalence in paramedic practice. |
