Abstract | The Spectrum of Teaching Styles is based on the premise that teaching is a chain of decision making, i.e., who makes the decisions and when and what are the intentions or purpose of those decisions. The Spectrum is a long standing pedagogical approach in physical education and outlines a number of teaching styles. By exploring the different teaching styles it is possible understand ways that the Spectrum can assist in meeting the ACARA descriptor for Health and Physical Education in the Australian National Curriculum. |
