Abstract

This paper will share an experiment in providing students with personal, typed feedback. It will argue that the interactive process and the use of technology engaged the students, enhanced their acquisition of structures and vocabulary and developed their noticing ability and confidence. The feedback addressed specific issues through a handout that only included problems that had arisen in a particular piece of writing. They were able to self-correct and become critical of their own writing.
