Abstract | The static and dynamic contact resistance was studied with different contact pressures and traction currents. The results show that the static contact resistance of pantograph and centenary is decreased when contact pressure and traction current increases, and the dynamic contact resistance increases then decreases and at last increases with the increase of the locomotive speed at the same contact pressure and traction current. This causes two extremum points to contact resistance, which shows that there exist best matching among contact force, the locomotive speed and traction current. |
