Abstract | Australia has a strong base of entrepreneurial activity. Over 1 in 10 Australians are engaged in some form of entrepreneurial activity.Yet overall entrepreneurship in Australia is decreasing, as is the perceived value of entrepreneurship as a career choice. Australians increasingly believe in their capabilities as entrepreneurs, but as a nation ranks #13 in fear of failure being a factor in not pursuing entrepreneurial activity. Australians' lack of perceived opportunities may be holding them back and yet there is clearly an entrepreneurial spirit as Australia ranks #1in intrapreneurship, or Entrepreneurial Employee Activity. |
