Abstract

G20 Entrepreneurship Roundtable 2023 is held on October 23-24, 2023 in Foho, Suzhou, China, with the theme of Promote Entrepreneurship and Employment in Platform Economy.

The event is the 7th consecutive Roundtable hosted by Entrepreneurship Research Center on G20 Economies since its establishment and cohosted by International Labour Organization this year, with the full support from Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of China.

The platform economy has developed rapidly in the last decade and brought about both opportunities and challenges to the global labor market. How to take advantage of the platform business to drive high-quality entrepreneurship and full employment is not only one of the main concerns of the G20 member governments, but also in line with the priority issue proposed by 2023 G20 EWG.

In the roundtable, we hope that the representatives from G20 members, international organizations and social partners could share their practices to promote platform enterprises to create more jobs, conduct the in-depth discussion on the impact of platform business on employment and entrepreneurship, and jointly explore the ways of the global, innovative, and sustainable development of platform businesses.
