Description of Exhibition/Event

Fill Your Eyes 2 is the second instalment of an annual postcard exchange. Leveraging print exchange traditions and deploying these in a broader context, this project involves both an exhibition and an artwork exchange component. Participants are asked to submit a postcard-sized work, or multiple works, and in return will receive a randomly chosen work or works from another participating artist or artists.

In 2024, the project received 646 postcard submissions from over 200 participants, residing both across Australia and internationally.

There are works that made us laugh out loud, observational works that resonate with our own lives, works of immense technical skill or unexpected innovation, and works that are so open and vulnerable they leave us speechless. There is an honesty and generosity to each of the works displayed, all of which were made to be given away. In this act of exchange, new art-based connections are formed, and stories shared.
