| Description of Exhibition/Event | Create/Respond is a collaborative exhibition project held at Crow’s Nest Art Gallery exploring the evolving nature of mark-making, authorship, and aesthetic dialogue between artists. At its core, this project centres around the circulation of single sheets of paper (one from each participating artist), where each artist contributes to the work sequentially, layering their creative responses over the existing composition. The result is a series of works that are both individual and collective — an archive of marks, gestures, and evolving visual languages. This project invites broader reflection on collaboration within contemporary art practice, exploring how individual and collective creativity intersect, overlap, and transform. Through shared surfaces and layered responses, Create / Respond proposes that artistic meaning is not fixed in isolation but emerges through ongoing, responsive exchanges — a visual conversation across time, material, and intention. |
