Biography
Linda is a visual arts educator and practitioner-researcher in the School of Creative Arts at the University of Southern Queensland. Exhibiting nationally and internationally, she is a contemporary artist whose practice incorporates conceptual art, video, installation, and sculpture. Her research explores how visual arts practitioners utilise ‘The Mother-Artist Model’ as a framework for practice. Linda also uses this model in her own practice, which is informed by interpersonal and collaborative relationships, alongside research that explores areas such as identity, maternity, and feminism. Her work has been included in key exhibitions such as Dark Rituals: Magical Relics from the Little Art Spellbook at the University of Sunshine Coast and UTAS, and Antipods: Magical Creatures with Backward Feet at University of Saskatchewan, Canada. In 2015, Clark won the Queensland Regional Art Awards Gray Puksand Digital Award. Website: www.lindanclark.com
