Abstract | This entry presents an overview of the methods for drying agricultural and forestry products. The need for the drying of agricultural and forestry products is presented, and the principles of drying operations are described. It is shown that a diversity of drying systems are currently used. The performance of these dryers varies significantly. Significant progress has been made in the research and development of drying technology to improve product quality, reduce cost, and improve environmental performance. |
