| Abstract | Venero Armanno was born in Brisbane in 1959 to Sicilian migrants. After studying both law and psychology at the University of Queensland, he worked in a computer company for ten years. In 1990 he was accepted into the Australian Film and Television School to study screenwriting and his first book, a collection of short stories entitled Jumping at the Moon, was published in 1992.
