Abstract | This chapter explores the various modes of “field” research utilised in Eurovision scholarship, from digital ethnography to on-site fieldwork. In particular, it interrogates the idea of what constitutes “on-site”, as well as the blurring of public/private boundaries in research, as a primary site for most Eurovision researchers is rarely the arena itself but a combination of both their own living rooms and social media spaces. |
