Abstract

What project management can bring to policy

The hypothesis is that project management methodology underpins much of the approach to policy review and development in Australian universities. Initial research has identified that this is not articulated in policy frameworks or meta-policy. The initial findings will be presented and a discussion commenced as to the reason for the initial findings. Outcomes of the discussion will inform the recently commenced PhD of the author, addressing policy implementation in Australian universities and will also inform the policy implementation/project management chapter of the new edition of ‘Policy without (much) pain.
