Abstract | The TREE model is a tool developed for teachers and coaches which highlights important elements of a game which they can change to fulfil various objectives. These elements are Teaching style, Rules, Equipment and Environment. This active workshop will focus on the impact changing the playing environment and the equipment can have on various invasion games’ technical, tactical and participatory concepts, demands and outcomes. The presenter has taught in regional P-12 schools for thirty years and the ideas presented have evolved from real-world practice. Participants will get opportunities to trial easily implementable and purposeful modifications to games through simply altering the playing environment and/or equipment to enhance students’ skills, understandings and enjoyment. |
