Biography
With over 25 years of experience in academia, I have dedicated my career to advancing knowledge in information and communication technology (ICT), focusing on computer communication and wireless networking, data analytics, and management. I have also contributed to developing software that applies these technologies in field such as healthcare, agriculture, and animal science, including research on poultry growth in relation to nutrient-rich feed.
Grounded in digital Information and data analytics, my work focused on innovative applications of Internet of Things (IoT) technology, starving to bridge the gaps between theoretical understanding and practical application. My research interests include network security, data analysis and privacy protection, and ethics in emerging technologies, and I have published 67 articles in leading journals such as IEEE Communications, Journal of Computer Applications, and Journal of Applied Animal Nutrition, addressing both technical and regulatory challenges in IT.
Beyond research, I am deeply committed to fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment, empowering students to develop both technical skills and professional values. With expertise in teaching and curriculum development, I have contributed to a variety of courses in the Bachelor of Information (BITC) program, from fundamental course like CSC1060 Data Analytics Fundamentals to advanced course such as CSC3370 Advanced Security and Security Management. I have integrated essential industry skills project management, teamwork, and ethical decision-making through courses like CSC2000 Planning a career in the IT Industry.
Looking ahead, I remain committed to advancing my research in networking and Cybersecurity while contributing to the growth of the BITC program, preparing students to meet evolving industry demands with integrity and innovation.
