Abstract | Role plays and simulations are familiar methods in the pedagogy of many areas of peace and conflict studies. In some fields, such as those of negotiation and mediation, they have long been considered a central element of classroom study (Ebner & Efron, 2005; Druckman & Ebner, 2008). In other areas, ranging from the policy sciences to peacebuilding, they enjoy an important place in the educator's toolbox (see Truger, 2001), although the way they are used depends on preferences of teachers or trainers. |
