Abstract

Research has called for Australian universities to
provide targeted programs of assistance for specific groups of recent immigrants, in response to the complex issue of higher education access for groups from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds (James et al., 2004). This article reports on PolyVision: Pacific Youth of
Tomorrow, an initiative which has been developed by the University of Queensland to increase access to higher education for young people from Pacific Island immigrant communities in the south east of Queensland, Australia.
