Abstract

Despite extensive and on-going efforts, people from a low socio-economic background continue to be significantly under-represented in Australian higher education. Enhanced understanding of the perspectives of young people and their families relating to higher education access provides a solid foundation for developing informed and culturally appropriate higher education access initiatives.
