AbstractPEG based hyperbranched copolymers have been synthesised using a high concentration of ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) as the branching agent (up to 10% molar ratio of total feed monomers) via a new in situ deactivation enhanced atom transfer radical polymerisation (DE-ATRP). These hyperbranched copolymers exhibited a lower critical solution temperature (LCST) close to body temperature and photo-crosslinkable behavior.
